SEOUL. September 16, 2010. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico and the Embassy of Mexico have the honor to inform that Mexico will commemorate its Bicentennial Anniversary of Independence on September 16, 2010. For such occasion, the Embassy has prepared a message from H. E. Martha Ortiz de Rosas, Ambassador of Mexico, and a background paper regarding current Mexican-Korean relations.

It is a joy for me to be here with you at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. This year's theme of "Innovation on the Road to Economic Recovery" is timely indeed. As the world struggles to rebound from the worst economic crisis in living memory, the challenge we now face is how to ensure future growth is both sustainable and inclusive. We must learn from the mistakes of the past if we are to avoid repeating them. We must innovate approaches to governance if we are to respond to new challenges.

I am pleased to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Korea IT Times on its fifth anniversary. Since its first publication in July 2004, Korea IT Times has played an instrumental role in providing business leaders, government officials and the general public with accurate real-time news and professional analysis on the latest developments of the Korean IT industry. Today, in the short period of 5 years, Korea IT Times has grown into the leading English-language IT magazine in Korea and the global source for Korean IT industry news.

I highly commend the fifth anniversary of Korea IT Times.

National Information Society Agency (NIA) is a newly launched organization under the current administration's policy to reform the public sector by merging NIA, devoted to creating a knowledge information society, and Korea Agency for Digital Opportunity and Promotion (KADO), devoted to bridging the digital divide.

It is a great pleasure for me to congratulate the Korea IT Times on its 5th anniversary. Information and communication technologies (ICT) are now an integral part of our everyday life as well as one of the driving forces behind higher productivity, growth and employment. In Germany, the ICT sector now contributes more to value creation than the classical technologies of automotive and mechanical engineering.

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Korea IT Times, please accept our heartiest congratulations.

As is well known, the IT industry of Korea has made a great contribution to enhancing our national competitiveness, job creation, and improvement of the international trade balance. In particular, it played a critical role in breaking through the Asian financial crisis in 1997.

The Korea IT Times is a very informative periodical with well researched articles on the development of IT industry in ROK and abroad. The articles are written in a language which can be easily understood even by non professionals. India is known for its strength in IT industry – particularly in development of software and phenomenal growth of telecommunications.

It’s my pleasure to congratulate the Korea IT Times on its fifth anniversary. Using English as a tool, and based on information and communications, the Korea IT Times has shown new business vistas to its readers at home and abroad, business leaders in the industry, and those in and out of academia. As both an online news provider and an offline journal, this English monthly has contributed to the development of IT journalism; quite a new field in the IT industry in the country.
