On May 20, Ministry of Knowledge Economy has a held public hearing, "Global Leading Top 10 World Premier Materials (WPM)," at the Seoul Education Culture Hall, Seoul. More than 600 experts attended at the hearing to confirm the business of request for proposal (RFP).
WPM is the governmental plan that invests KRW one trillion to commercialize the materials as the first in the world and to create the market with continued market dominance by 2018. It aims for 30 percent of market share and US$ 10 billion national revenue.

According to the Association and the industry on the 23rd, Kyungpil Nam, the chairman of KAOGI and its representatives of member companies agreed to take ‘game’ out of the Association’s name and change the name into ‘Korea Internet Digital Entertainment Association (K-IDEA).’
The AEECC (Asia Electronics Exhibition Cooperation Conference) was held in Jeju Island on June 28. Delegates from Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong, discussed the cooperation for activation of regional exhibitions which will be held in October concurrently.
SEOUL, KOREA - KT, one of Korea's largest telecom companies, is driving forward with plans to acquire Africa's small Internet service company iWayAfrica. The Korean company announced on May 5 that it is reviewing the idea of acquiring iWayAfrica as part of its efforts to make forays into the African market.
