SEOUL,KOREA—On July 25, Samsung Electronics said that it recently signed up with “Holiday Inn” for providing "Smart Hotel Solution". "Holiday Inn", one of the world’s largest hotel chains, is the official sponsor of the London 2012 Olympics.
Via Galaxy S III at “Holiday Inn London Stratford City” near the London Olympic Park, "Smart Hotel Solution" offers updated information on hotel services and facilities
Hotel guests can remotely control TV, lights and air-conditioners with Samsung’s latest mobile gadget which also acts as an internal hotel phone and a room key.
Also, users can access to local information and the Olympic updates offered by both Samsung Electronics and Holiday Inn. The solution will be available for only 40 rooms and VIP guests first.
“We look forward to offer more advanced and specialized hotel services to a guest with Galaxy S III,” said Chris Hale, Head of London 2012 for IHG (Inter-continental Hotel Group) .
Samsung Electronics’ Executive Managing Director for Europe Operations, Kim Seok-phil said, “We Samsung as an Olympic sponsor is greatly contributing to the mobilization of service sectors such as the hotel industry.”
“We also have plans to cooperate with the other solution partners in various different sectors, and customers will be able to gain special experiences with Galaxy S III,” added Cho Bum-koo, Senior Managing Director at Wireless Marketing Division.
Aiming to strengthen its mobile solution ecosystem, Korea’s largest IT company has set up “Samsung Enterprise Alliance Program” to work with mobile solution partners in the diversified fields: transport, logistics, education, etc.
