According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Bill Gates' net worth reached $72.7 billion (equivalent to about 81.1 trillion won), ranking as the world's richest person.
Bill Gates has lagged behind Mexico's telecom mogul Carlos Slim. Bill Gates, however, reclaimed the world's richest person title as its net worth increased by about $10 billion thanks to the hike in the stock prices of Microsoft. Carlos Slim's net worth is estimated at $72.1 billion.
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index pick the world's 100 richest persons based on the analysis of stock prices. Lee Kun-Hee, chairman of Samsung Group, ranked No. 95 with a net worth of $11.3 billion. He is the only Korean among the world's 100 richest persons.
