SEOUL, KOREA- Kopla, a specialist in the production of automobile parts, is set to establish a production base in Georgia in the United States by investing 16 billion won. The construction will begin in early October. The plant will begin full-scale production from January 2015 after being completed in September 2014.The U.S. factory's annual production will increase up to 100 billion won in 2017 from 33 billion won in its initial year.

Kopla decided to build its own factory in the U.S., aimed at supplying a high functional polymer to the U.S. assembly plants of Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors. Kopla has been supplying polymers to most of vehicles produced by Hyundai and Kia Motors, ranging from small sedans like Avante to large-sized sedans like Grandeur.

Kopla's key competitiveness lies in its integrated production process covering the entire part of polymer production ranging from the compounding of raw material resins to extrusion, cooling, drying, inspection, packaging, and shipments. By leveraging its U.S. factory, Kopla aims to diversify its client base toward multinational automakers such as General Motors, Ford, and Volkswagen.
