- Micro-smart pager (weight of 25g) prevents missing of kids, elderly people with dementia and pets

April 17, 2014, Seoul - One-stop positioning solution provider YEGONG Co., Ltd. (CEO: Dong-Yeon Kim, http://www.ygc.co.kr) specializes in developing and selling positioning system based on Wi-Fi and conversion technology, developing mobile application, website and control server and providing any and all services related to positioning system. YEGONG releases the world’s first positioning system ‘Mamieye’ tapping the global market. ‘Mamieye’ prevents missing or losing kids and elderly people with dementia who lack the general cognitive ability, pets and other expensive assets.

‘Mamieye’ provides both handsets (terminal) and application service for positioning. It is nicknamed ‘Smart pager’ due to its compact and slim handset and the service tracking the user’s position. In case of an emergency, the user can use simplified hotline number which enables its parents or guardian to track the situation.

Existing Global Positioning System (GPS) has provided the service through telecom operator based on CDMA (WCDMA) network, and if a user was inside the building, the system provided location information in areas within 250m~2.5km radius. However, ‘Mamieye’ does not require additional subscription to mobile telecommunication service, and even when the user is inside the building, the location of the user can be pinpointed to about 5m~20m radius.

‘Mamieye’ runs for up to 14 days on a single charge. “Compared with other products already on the market shelves, ‘Mamieye’ has competitive edge both at home and abroad in terms of price and service charge”, says CEO of YEGONG, Dong-Yeon Kim. “‘Mamieye’ is designed and developed for protection of socially marginalized people including babies and children, women, people with intellectual disability, elderly people living alone/with dementia. YEGONG plans to conduct campaign for such people who need social protection as well as focuses on sales of the product”, he added.

Specification of ‘Smart Pager (Mamieye)’

- Easy to use: No subscription to telecommunication service

- Precise positioning: Available to pinpoint the location of the user even inside the building

- Speed and accurate emergency relief: In case of emergency, the user can request for rescue to nearby public office and other smart-phone user (However, if there are no wireless router or a smart-phone user having ‘Mamieye’ application around, positioning service is not available, which mean it requires social support.)

- Longest durability of battery: For up to 14 days on a single charge (duty cycle time: 30minutes)

※ You can buy ‘Mamieye’ online (http://mamieye.com) at KRW 66,000.
