SEOUL, KOREA - Samsung Fine Chemicals announced on April 22 that it posted an operating loss of 19.1 billion won for the first quarter of this year. Its operating loss widened compared to 12.6 billion won recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Its first-quarter sales amounted to 298.1 billion won, down 10.2 percent from a year ago. Net loss also widened to 16.5 billion won in the first quarter from 9.2 billion won a year before.
