Korea’s top-three telecom companies including KT, LG U+, and SK Telecom are taking part in Asia’s largest ICT exhibition to be held in Shanghai.
According to industry sources on July 13, the three Korean telecom giants are set to participate in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2015 which is slated to be open from July 15.
During their participation, the three telecom companies plan to showcase a variety of next-generation telecommunications services, including Giga LTE, smart home platforms, and voice over LTE calls (VoLTE).
The GSMA which represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide has been holding the Mobile Asia Expo annually during the summer season since 2012 and changed the name of the exhibition to the MWC.
Under the theme of “Mobile Unlimited,” the MWC 2015 will be joined by about 300 ICT companies from all around the world. Uniquely among domestic telecom companies, SK Telecom will run its own independent booth for three straight years. SK Telecom will display a variety of future-oriented platforms under the theme of “Unpack the Smart Life.”
