12 small firms due to move in to Technopolis Chungju in North Chungcheong province had unsettling experiences.

After SK Group announced that it would invest 46 trillion won in semiconductor at the SK Hynix's plant ceremony, the small firms should give up their plant space for SK and should find out elsewhere.

The 12 companies are due to move in to Technopolis Chungju where SK pointed as its new space to invest.

They are said to complete an intermediate payment after signing a deal with the City government.

However, even if the city government sues the small companies, they have a low possibility of winning and they may have a negative image that the government is suing small firms for large companies.

The city government will be in a difficult position to have duplicity dealing with small and large companies.

"From a long time ago, all the regional governments have been so into attracting large companies. The city government is making SMEs go out into the cold for large companies," an employee working for SME declining to be identified.
