South Korean battery maker LG Chem is exhibiting at Chinaplas 2016 in Shanghai to showcase its cutting-edge materials and solutions. Chinaplas is the largest plastics and rubber trade fair in Asia, which runs through April 28.
LG Chem has set up the largest booth (400 square meters, 6 meters high) among 3,200 exhibitors from nearly 40 counties.
Under the theme ‘Smart Future,’ the company is introducing a variety of state-of-the-art materials in four exhibition zones: Smart People, Smart Home, Smart City and Automotives.
LG Chem is also exhibiting batteries and information and electronic materials, such as ABS, polyolefin resins, synthetic rubber, engineering plastics (EP), electric vehicle batteries and RO filters.
In 1995, LG Chem became the first Korean chemical company to set up a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production subsidiary in China. With LG Chem China Holding Co. in Beijing, LG Chem is running nearly 10 production and sales operations across China.
An LG Chem official said: “We plan to communicate our successful business experiences with the Chinese market and our global competitiveness backed by world-class products to global customers at Chinaplas 2016.”
