GRANDVILLE, Mich., Jan. 24, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE/ Korea IT Times) -- LearnLaunch Accelerator, the leading education technology startup program, today announced that WriteSteps, a Michigan-based Edtech company, is joining its 2017 Breakthrough Accelerator Program. Focused on standards-based writing and grammar programs for K-5, WriteSteps has emerged as an important innovator in the growing education space.

“Boston is the leader in Edtech, and LearnLaunch is the leader in Boston,” explained WriteSteps founder and CEO Suzanne Klein. “WriteSteps is already a successful company; we have customers in 48 states and 6 countries. Now we need to grow and reach for the next level, and that’s what LearnLaunch’s Accelerator Program is all about.”

WriteSteps will join four other Edtech startups in the accelerator program, which is designed to prepare each company for the next stages of funding, deployment, scaling and growth. The companies were chosen from more than 100 Edtech startups because of their potential to achieve scalable business models in the education sector, as well as their impact on society and the broader learning environment.

“As a former educator, Suzanne Klein has a keen understanding of how critically important it is for students to develop writing and grammar skills as early as elementary school, and that’s why she founded WriteSteps,” said Eric Cantor, a LearnLaunch Accelerator Venture Partner. “She has built WriteSteps over the past 7 years to a point where it is poised for significant growth. Through LearnLaunch Accelerator, Suzanne will focus on the critical areas that will enable her to successfully scale and achieve her plans.”

LearnLaunch’s Accelerator’s Breakthrough program provides WriteSteps with seed funding, workspace in its unique and collaborative Campus located in Boston, strategic guidance on bringing its products to market, and access to a diverse team of over 150 industry-savvy mentors providing continual support and assistance in company growth and raising capital.

Klein will showcase WriteSteps to the Edtech and investment community at a series of events hosted by LearnLaunch. For more information, visit LearnLaunch.com.
