LG Group chairman Koo Bon-moo has promoted 10 R&D personnel to their next ranks. “In order to develop core technologies, we should let R&D play a leading role in our preparations for the future.”
Chairman Koo said at the group’s R&D performance evaluation event, held at LG Electronics’ Seocho R&D Campus in Yangjae-dong, southern Seoul.
“We should set ambitious R&D goals in line with where our business should be headed and make sure that our efforts translate into tangible results.”
Since Koo took over the helm of the LG Group in 1995, he has continued to attend the R&D performance evaluation event to encourage R&D personnel and acknowledge their achievements.
In particular, Koo is cranking up his R&D drive as LG affiliates are scheduled to move into the LG Science Park, the largest R&D cluster in the country, at the end of this year.
