HONG KONGApril 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ Korea IT Times-- Hong Kong's future as a hub for Asian startups going global will be explored at Silicon Dragon's well-known venture and tech forum series on April 12, its 5th annual event held at Hong Kong's Cyberport.

The program will explore how Hong Kong's emerging companies and their investors need to start thinking bigger to achieve success in key global markets. A panel of venture investors and dealmakers will discuss financing, IPO and M&A strategies for high-growth Asian companies and their backers. Four young founders of fast-growth tech upstarts and their investors will take the stage to tell how they are focusing on talent, team, technology, business model, capital, profitability, and global/regional impact to get ahead in today's competitive marketplace.

Silicon Dragon has a strong record of providing startups the stage to boost their fund-raising goals. The founders of Klook Travel, Tink Labs, Equity Sim, Patsnap, WeLab and Vitagent have all raised substantial sums after appearing at Silicon Dragon.

This year's Hong Kong conference includes such several prominent venture capitalists as speakers: Nisa Leung of Qiming Ventures, Tytus Michalski of Fresco Capital and Adam Lindemann of Mind Fund in addition to dealmakers from Silicon Valley.

The Silicon Dragon conference also wraps in an interactive workshop with roundtable discussions on what's next for tech innovation in the region: fintech, energy, social enterprise, IoT, enterprise technology and the sharing economy.

Now in its fifth year, this annual event is led by Silicon Dragon founder Rebecca Fannin, an expert on global innovation trends, a Forbes and CNBC contributor, and an author of Silicon Dragon (McGraw-Hill, 2008), Startup Asia (Wiley, 2011) and Innovation in Emerging Markets (Palgrave Macmillan, 2016).

Silicon Dragon brings together business leaders, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors and leaders of the startup and tech ecosystem to discuss what's next in Asia's emerging tech and venture markets. Participants will gain insights on how to raise financing and develop strategies to succeed in the region and in leading innovation zones such as Silicon Valley, Tel Aviv and London.
